Clayton Festival 2020 - Event Notification

Aquatic and Health Club, Swim School Participants

The 2020 Clayton Festival will be held at the Clayton Community Centre and Cooke Street on Sunday 23 February 2020, from 12noon - 6pm. The event site includes Clayton Community Centre, Clayton Community Centre car park, Cooke Street and a small section of the Cooke Street car park (opposite the Clayton Community Centre).

Road Closures:

Clayton Community Centre car park will be closed for vehicle traffic from 5pm on Saturday 22 February. Cooke Street, including the Clayton Community Centre car park, will be closed to vehicle traffic from the south entrance to the Cooke Street car park through to approximately 10 metres north of the Community Centre car park from 5am - 9.30pm on Sunday 23 February.

Alternative Parking:

As the event and associated road closures will impact the availability of parking facilities for users at the Clayton Community Centre, we are offering alternative limited parking to Clayton Aquatic and Health Club members attending swim school classes on Sunday 23 February. This parking will be located in Cooke Street between the hours of 8am - 1pm. Access to this parking area will be via the Dunstan Street end of Cooke Street only. Please present your membership card to the traffic controller at the road closure point.

We recommend that you arrive with enough time to park as there may be some congestion around the festival site. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience.

We encourage everyone to attend this popular community celebration. The Clayton Festival features stage entertainment, a dedicated children’s area with free rides, food, bar and market stalls, roving entertainment, community sites, cultural experiences, library activities, theatre performance and conversation, free pool access and environmental workshops. Further information about the Clayton Festival, including a full program, can be found on the Monash Council website at

Council endeavors to minimise any inconvenience to swim school participants. If you have any queries about any aspect of the event, please contact the Monash Arts & Cultural Development team on 9518 3636 or [email protected]
